friends wedding

Just got back from Ohio a couple hours ago. My friends Jen and Jason flew us in for their wedding. It was really beautiful. What a scene. And they lucked out with perfect weather. That stupid saying you always hear when it rains “Oh don’t worry dear, rainy day weddings mean good luck.” Yeah whatever. Raining wedding days suck pure and simple. Everything is getting soaked, it’s windy, muddy. There’s no luck involved, so quit trying to feel better about it, buck up and have a good day in spite of it. Even attending Christian wedddings, you sure find a lot of people who have pagan type beliefs. Not this past wedding, but in general I mean. Rain = Good Luck? Mmm ok whatever you say!

I love discovering new sites. I’m going to recommend a couple. Some days for me, when I have time, I’ll just travel the net a little. Link to link to link. It’s fun. Wil Wheaton, the actor from Stand by Me and Star Trek – Next Generation has his own website and blog. His readme file is cool. He made the site himself and he did a good job. All the questions I had were in his readme. Instead of doing an Faq about him, he just said, “first time at my site? Read this.” good idea.

I like Wil’s site and Wil because he seems like somebody I’d be friends with. I can’t say that about some actors. Wil might be an eccentric a** but I doubt it. He likes Mac which is Ok, but I’m hoping he’s not like other Mac users where they think their Mac is alive and has feelings. *shudder.

From Wil’s site, he talked about this other weblog called Overheard in New York. I love it when somebody thinks of something like that. Conversations overheard are often more memorable than whatever it was you did that day. Plus, New York has some good spirits. I’m impressed by the vocabulary and intensity.
